Adventures!

I got a bike!! And since I purchased the above bike, I decided to go for an adventure! I really need to get my camera cleaned out because there's dust in it, so I found a place online that was about four miles away, hopped on the bike, and pedaled those four miles to my destination. Unfortunately, the camera place was closed, and I would have been mad if it hadn't so much fun! On the way back to the hotel, I saw this strange building and I had to take a picture of it, dust or no dust in the lens.

Cool Huh?! It was abandoned too!

In Anchorage they have these metal banner/statues all over town. I thought they were cool so I took some pictures.
I have wanted to post this up for a long time and I'm proud that I finally got around to doing it! I hope you like!

I think I sprained myself

My muscles are sore from running, which isn't fair considering the fact that I didn't run very much. :( It's probably just because of the craziness that's going on with my body that no one knows exactly what it is. My left leg especially doesn't like me walking. But there really is no reason to complain, I got to run for the first time in over a month and I'm with the ever-so-charming Husband. :D

Husband and I are going to watch Iron Man 2 tonight at midnight! Zip-e-de-do-dah-day! It shall be joyous and most wonderful. We're also going with all the comrades from the office up here, so that means I get to make friends, which I'm excited about. Today was better, it wasn't so gloomy, although Alaska tends to look cold even when it isn't.

Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork! I am ALMOST done with it all, but the last little bit that I have left is taking forever because the computer gets so slow.

So, I promised Adam that I would have at least one adventure a day and today (because there was a lot of paperwork to be done and my legs seize when I walk) my adventure was making fried eggs with cheese on none other than the Foreman Grill!! It was a tasty adventure and well worth it. I hope he counts that as an adventure...

Anyway, I'm out. We are just about to leave to see the awesomness that is Robert Downey Jr.

love,
Britni

Alaskan Adventures: The very first installment

It hasn't been really exciting since I've gotten here. I've really only gone from the airport to our hotel room and that was about as much of Alaska as I've seen. But it's been fun! I LOVE being with Adam and he's just made it so wonderful! :) Unfortunately, once I got here I started my new job, and a butt load of paperwork was handed over (unfortunate that there was a butt load of paperwork, not unfortunate that I started my new job). I am trying really hard to get it done! Honestly I am, but I'm learning and there is SO MUCH of it! So, here are the pictures that I have so far. Bare in mind it's not much, I have been in my hotel room for the majority of it. (But I did go running today and yesterday! Over a mile-and-a-half both days!)

The view from my window. Yes, this is all I've got. And yes, it does look miserable outside. In fact, it's raining right now and all the plants look dead.
